Shipping

Hardcovers ship within 3–5 business days of payment. United States delivery typically takes 3–7 business days after dispatch; international delivery 7–21 business days. Shipping costs are shown at checkout. Forthcoming titles ship on publication; reservations are not charged until then.

Returns

If a hardcover arrives damaged or misprinted, write to us within 30 days with your order reference and a photograph and we will replace it at no cost. Undamaged hardcovers may be returned within 30 days for a refund of the book price.

eBooks

eBooks are licensed for the personal use of the purchaser and are delivered as DRM-free PDF files. Because they are delivered instantly, eBook sales are final — but if a file won't open or is faulty, we'll make it right.

Research Commissions

The research service is not yet open. When it opens, the following terms will apply. Each commission begins with a written scope and fixed quote, which you approve before any work is charged. Inquiry-tier commissions are billed in full on approval; Dossiers and Bound Volumes are billed half on approval and half on delivery. Should records prove substantially thinner than anticipated, we will consult you before continuing. You receive full personal-use rights to your commissioned history.

Privacy

We collect only what you give us through our forms — your name, email, and the details of your order or request — and use it solely to fulfil your order, answer your letter, or carry out your commission. If you join The Dispatch, we'll send occasional emails, and you may unsubscribe at any time. We do not sell or share your information. Payments are handled by our payment processor; we never see or store your card details. To have your data removed, write to us via the contact page.
